On February 26, Environmental Systems Laboratory hosted a guest lecture with Ivana Vuco, USAID/Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) regional advisor for Europe and Central Asia and Daunia Pavone, USAID consultant. They talked about practical aspects of aid work, related challenges and specificities of information management. Ivana focused on some fundamental issues in humanitarian aid, and Daunia elaborated on how data is collected, what methods are used, and how decision making is supported by information.
