Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Taher Shakhashir, the Jordanian Minister of Environmnet, UNEP, in partnership with the Arabic Universities Union, is conducting an Arab States Green University Network (ASGUN) consultative stakeholder dialogue in Amman, Jordan from 15-16 September 2015. The meeting was opened this morning by H.E. Dr. Taher Shakhashir and Dr. Iyad Abumoghli, Director and Regional Representative for UNEP Regional Office of West Asia (UNEP ROWA).

Water practitioners, academics, and decision-makers from Iran, Jamaica, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, and beyond are convening at CEU in Budapest for the ISEPEI "Making Information Talk and Technologies Work for Water Security" workshop this week, July 6-10. Run in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and with support from the Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative (AGEDI), this workshop features faculty from leading UN agencies, global environmental institutions, and the ICT industry, including UNEP, the Black Sea Commission, and Google.
